Saturday visit to EO

Alpha Delta Pi Executive OfficeBy: Abby Barrett, Alpha Kappa-University of Tennessee, Executive Office Intern

Tucked away on Ponce de Leon Avenue, ADPi’s Memorial Headquarters stands majestically with its white columns and dark red brick. In 1954, Alpha Delta Pi purchased our beautiful Memorial Headquarters in Atlanta.

During Leadership Seminar, Adelphean Compass participants and House Corp attendees will have the opportunity to visit Memorial Headquarters and EO on Saturday. Some IMPACT attendees will be visiting too during their free afternoon.

Maxine Blake, former Grand President, remarked about Memorial HQ at the house dedication….

“Brick, mortar, fine woods and beautiful fabrics are the outward evidence of fine workmanship by skilled hands. But foresight and devoted planning are the inner marks of the loyalty and love of our Sisterhood that have brought these material beauties together and made this memorial possible.”

MH EO Photos for UDC Application 015Attendees will lose themselves in the rich history of ADPi at Memorial Headquarters. The Founders’ Gallery contains replicas of the founders’ portraits found in Macon. Our Women’s Studies Room includes a timeline of Alpha Delta Pi history. Chapter archives can be found in the Library. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms for members of Grand Council and International Officers to stay when they visit. We even have a bunk room for summer interns and Leadership Consultants!EO 006

Across the Maxine Blake Loggia, there are offices for the
Executive Office staff and a training room. Our training room has been very busy getting ready for Leadership Seminar!

We can’t wait for you to come visit us here at Memorial Headquarters. If you are not attending Leadership Seminar, you are always welcome to come visit and get a tour.
